Today we were shooting the lovely Ruth and James from the comedy show 'Gavin and Stacey'. We had all sorts of props to play with so this was a fun and interesting shoot! photography by Ellis Parrinder.
We were at Jasmine's shop called 'Honey Jam' on Portolbello Road. The shop is full of beautiful childrens toys. This was part of a feature that will be 'My favourite gift' so she was photographed with hers!

Today I was shooting with photographer Johnny Ring at A and M Hire in Acton. Using Louise Dainton model from MOT. It was a great day with beautiful dresses and makeup of course! The book will be out internationally March 2010.
Today myself and another make-up artist were making over 10 women for there before shots, as they are soon to have a lip filler procedure. It was mainly concentrated on flawless skin with no product on the lips what so ever, it was as natual as they could look!
We were shooting in a studio in EC1 with photographer Ellis Parrinder. This will be coming out later on in the year, around December time. It was a good day all in all!
This was a fashion based shoot with sailing olympic gold medalist , Ben Ainslie. He even had is own boat delivered to the studio! so the images will be amazing and the styling also looked great.
I was in a studio in Lambeth North, London doing the makeup and hair for 3 models. There were several different scenarios that had to be created to emphasise the mood of each of the cameras being promoted. The models were great and the images looked fantastic thanks to photographer Dan Kennedy.

I was working with Dizzee Rascal today at Holborn Studios in London. The photography was by Ellis Parrinder and they looked wicked! different coloured gel lights were used to give a great multi-coloured shadow effect.
Today were shooting the beautiful, Bonnie Knight from the hit film, Harry Potter. This will be featured in the Luxe Magazine next month. It was a really fun shoot and she looked amazing- big hair, big eyed and lovely clothes.
We were shooting the lovely, Jane Sheperdson the owner of 'Whistles' today for a story being featured in The Times on high street fashion. It was a great day- although the backdrop was plain white, something amazing will be added for full effects!
This was the second day of the shoot, we were using a different 'mum' and asking her what she struggled with in the kitchen, when it came down to her childrens pack lunches and home cooked dinners. Needless to say I tried some of the amazing food on offer cooked by the chef!
Today was the first day of a two day shoot, there was a nutritionist and a chef cooking up a storm of lovely dishes, to inspire mother of two Coumba. All the details will be available online soon.
Today I was at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington. I was doing the make-up for Jessica and Mitchell, the first released photos of there recent engagement.
We did several different shots in the hotel and a few in a nearby park, it was a sunny day so all went well.
I was in central London today meeting the editor of OK Magazine, it was really cool to go and show my portfolio and talk through all the work I have done- so this could turn out to be another potential client.

Today I was in a recording studio with Simon Le Bon. It will be a world wide single released to raise awareness and money for the effects of climate change. Other artists such as Mark Ronson and Bob Geldof will also feature on the track.
Today I was in Soho, London visiting Cosmpolitan Magazine, this was arranged through my agent. I took along my portfolio and they seemed impressed so was well worth the trip.
Today I was in Buckland, Buntingford in Hertfordshire...we were shooting on location with photographer Stephanie Pistel. It was a beautiful sunny day with cars, motorbikes and acres of fields for back drops! cant wait to see them.
Today I was in Grantham at Belvoir Castle getting ready the Dutchess of Rutland for the Austrailian Womans Weekly photo shoot with her Grace and the children.
There were about 5-6 different outfit changes of various locations in and around the castle, which I must add is stunningly beautiful.

This was a great day we were over in Spring Studios, near Camden today. This will be a cover story and feature inside The Radio Times. The Photography was by Mark Harrison and my make-up assistant Ottie and of course myself!
I made up the lovely Susan Boyle, Shaheen, Hollie, Greg Pritchard, Jamie Pugh, Darth Vader (not a great deal required!) and Stavros Flatley with his son.
Today I was in stu-stu-studios in Holborn, shooting Alexandra Armstrong, Shazia Mirza and Miranda Sawyer all whom write pieces for The Radio Times. It was a great day, the shots were full length and three quater which will be used to update there current images when the articles are printed.

We were shooting a fashion story today and the theme was based around the novel The Great Gatsby. It shows Hannah getting ready for the eccentric summer parties and the different stages through out the evening into the early hours.

Today I was doing the make-up for a Jazz singer, she looked fab! it was in the style of cabaret! We did 3 looks, a natural summer look, a more glamourous evening piano bar type feel and then full on cabaret, thse pictures will be used to promote the band.
It was the second day, I had 7 lovely ladies to make look there absolute best! ages ranging from 18-60 years old, so anyone can have a go- you simply have a make-up look, followed by hair styling and then off to Mark for some beautiful shots you can keep forever! it was a really fun day.

Today was certainly a funny and creative day- the story was that the two characters are aliens from another universe! so this involved me covering the heads intirely, for both Queenie and Adrian with silver glitter. I used a latex cap first to cover and protect the hair and then, built up grease paints, gel glitter on top. We were all thrilled with the outcome, images will follow...
This was the final day of the shoot, we got a lot of done. Aswell as the filming we also did a photoshoot with Richard, so I am really looking forward to seeing the final images, as there will be some special effects used as the background, which will be great!
Myself and the crew were at Camden Studios, the first day of a 2 day shoot. It was a commercial, based around the theme of the movie, Minority Report, so it was all quite sci-fi! Richard Hammond will be appearing in this advert later this month, it is launching in New Zealand, he kept us all entertained!
Today/tonight I am working at the L'oreal Trophy Awards, there are 25 teams and I am working with one to create an individual make-up look that is incorporated into the hair colour, clothes etc the theme was purple and copper which were also reflected into the hair. The clothes were amazing and Jordan (the model) looked fab! Well done to all involved at Gloss Salon in Diss, Norfolk a wonderful job all round!
Today I was perparing for the make-up look for one of the finalists for the L'oreal Colour Trophy Awards which takes place on Monday 23rd March. So, we had a trial with the make-up to make sure everthing looks great, clothes etc which it does so very exciting. It looked amazing so really happy with the result...images to follow!
Today I was at Tamara Mellon's appartment in Kensington, London, getting her make-up look ready for the shoot for The Times. It was a feature based around her offices at the Jimmy Choo building, as she is the founder of the company. The hair was by Garry Chapman and Tamara looked beautiful so we were all really pleased with the look. The images should be published at the end of April and photography by Mark Harrison.

I was at a studio in SW11 today with Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes, they were being interviewed about various iconic videos that Duran Duran had released and the effect they had on there image and career. Videos such as 'Girls On Film' which was one of the most watched videos of all time for a period of 6 years running!
This was the second part of the shoot, we were again filming 2 consumers in a different location this time in, South Kensington, it was a good day and there were lovely white teeth all round! again photography by Mark Harrison.

We had a really fun, creative day today with Hollie, she is a new face from MOT agency. I arranged a test shoot with George Impey taking photographs and Aimee Paskell on hair styling. I did 3 very different looks with her, a fresh romantic look, a golden goddess and rock chick! Can't wait to see the images when they are ready..they will be appearing in my 'beauty' section.
The night of the BAFTA Awards, The Royal Opera House
I went down to The Grosvernor House Hotel, Park Lane today and did the make-up for my lady that was attending the BAFTA Awards. I was there at 2pm to get her ready for 4pm. We went the gold theme to compliment her gorgeous dress and shoes, I am sure she sparkled down the red carpet!
I was at a beautiful hotel in St. Albans today, I was doing a pre BAFTA Award make-up for one of my clients who is attending the red carpet event this Sunday. So, we went for sophisticated glamour, golds and metallics on the eyes and gorgeous bronzed skin. You will go to the ball.....!
Last month myself and photographer from Cambridge, Mark Ashworth, ran a competition to find the 'Face of Cambridge'. With half of the proceeds going to Breast Cancer Trust, we thought it was a great cause and it gave anyone between the ages of 18-60 the chance, to have a professional make-up artist (myself) give them a makeover finished with lovely photography from Mark Ashworth.
We had the winner ,Susie Diver announced and she is now on the front cover February's issue of 'Style' Magazine, so a big well done to you!
It was the second part to the 'Sky Arts' show today, Duran Duran performed 11 tracks from past hits and current, including favourites like Rio, Save a Prayer and Ordinary World among them. It was filmed in front of a live audience which gave a great atmosphere. Charlotte my assistant, did a good job, helping me with the backing singers. A fabulous day as always with the band!

I was at the Hospital Studios in Covent Garden today, we were filming an interview with Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor. They were discussing current and classic songs in there careers. It was a really interesting and relaxed interview.
I was in London at Alexandra Palace today for IMATS, it was really interesting met some very talented special effects artists. Also Met up with some people I had not seen for a while- Desmond Murray, the celebrity hairdresser and Lan Nguyen. I attented one of the seminars on 'Morag Ross' which was really interesting, so I am very glad I went, also picked up some great products.
This was a great shoot with amazing model Cecile from MOT Models, she was modelling the new range from Lubis Garments, that will be launched on there new website coming soon. The look was in keeping with the style of the clothes, sophisticated, glamourous and ready to wear!
Sunday Night on the Seven Network Limited, Australia
Today I was in a central london hotel, we were filming for an Australian tv show 'Sunday Night' for Seven Network Limited.
It is a current affairs show, specific content of the interview can not be disclosed as it was based around a victims experience of an abduction abroad and of course it is a very sensitive topic. My objective was to disguise her to protect her identity.
Today I was over at Crouchmoor Farm in Herts, we were filming with french celebrity chef 'Jean Christophe Novelli' this is the location of his academy. Jean Christophe Novelli, is a judge on the american chef show which will be coming out next month..it all went great so watch out for it!

Today I was at the Old Vic Theatre in Waterloo, we were recording for the Andrew Marr Show, Kevin Spacey is currently director of the new play 'Complicit', which previews next week. It was a discussion on the play and how Richard Dreyfuss felt being directed by fellow actor Kevin Spacey.
Of course, I was in charge of all the grooming!
Today I was at the BBC studios, working with Richard Dreyfuss and Kevin Spacey. It was a discussion show based around the theme of there new production 'Complicit' for The Old Vic Theatre.
It was an interesting day, Richard Dreyfuss had to look well groomed, neat and tidy!

We were outside the Royal Exchange, so it was very busy!Photographer, Ellis, created the shots and they looked great and Saffron Hunt was styling.

Today I was in the Richmond area, doing an editorial shoot with Amanda Lamb who is from the show 'A Place in the Sun'. The shoot was at her house. It was beautiful and so was she! I worked with photographer, Patricia Niven who was great, the pictures looked amazing so well done everyone!
The Radio Times Christmas Special- Hazel Blears and Len Goodman
Today I was at the BBC Televison Centre, as they were filming Strictly Come Dancing we had a few hours so capture some fantastic dance steps taught by Len Goodman for Hazel Blears, who is a huge fan of the show! Costume by Nicky Albrechtsen and photography by Joel Anderson. I made her eyes really sparkly to compliment her gorgeous purple frock! very true to the Strictly Come Dancing theme.

Today I have been taking part in a special effects course which was fantastic! pretty gross, but I am now really confident in bruises, scars, wounds, cuts and also I had an intoduction into facial casts. This was really interesting and I am keen to use my skills!
Today we were at Shepperton Studios, I was on set all day making sure everyone was shine free before they did there take, they all looked really fresh and natural in this video, wearing simple black clothing. It made a real impact, cant wait to see the end result. The single was no1 last week and all proceeds go to charity for the british soldiers so an excellent cause.
This was a great show, it was disco week so out came the glitter and sparkles! everyone looked fab and there were a lot of dancers too with beautiful bright colours, I had a great day/night doing the make-up but poor Austin went out...!
Myself and Di ran around London with Hayley Holt from Strictly come Dancing, it was freezing! Adam the photographer got some great shots of her in front of the sites of London, so the Eye, Big Ben, St.Pauls at least it was a typical british day, cold, wet and windy!
Today I went to the X Factor house, to get the contestants ready for the red carpet! they were all very excited and had beautiful outfits to wear. I did the make-up for Diana and Rachel they all looked fab and sure they had a great time.
Today was a creative day, Charlotte my assistant was the actress/model for this short film, so well done! I created a 1940's/1950's look on her, the film was based around LA Confidential and Film Noir and it was filmed in St James Hotel, which was the perfect location. I also created a bullet wound in Charlottes neck (it looked so realistic it was gross!) as part of the story line. Picture to follow!
Had a brilliant day in Gate Studios, the models looked great and the clothing was really simple. So, I kept make-up looking radiant and really clean. Everyone involved was really pleased.
For the next two days I will be working with two models, male and female creating a dewy, beautiful skin look for the sports wear brand, Puma. So, it has to look natural and being well blended is key.
I was working today at the Studios for the X Factor, it was great fun and all the contestants are so excited about being there and enjoy the shows so much. It was fantastic to see them all at the final stages complete with hair, make-up and wardrobe and it was also fab seeing Girls Aloud in rehersals too.
We were filming one of the shows based around a series of different decades and different eras of fashion and style, so this episode was based around the style icons of the 1980's, so I was working on John Taylor from Duran Duran.
This was an amazing location, we were in the Town Hall in Shoreditch there is an art exhibition going on in the basement and the images and the feel of the place was incredible. The images will be used for all of Duran Duran's publicity. Thank you to my assistant Charlotte Jones for all your help!
What a great day, met all the contestants, very exciting they all had great styling, hair and of course make-up. The brief was to make them all look natural and beautiful so this is what we did and the result was fantastic. You will have to watch and see the video....!
